Day 1
Airport – Maho Ayurveda Center

Arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport & you will be met by your "Travels Lanka" representative and transferred to Ayurveda Resort Maho – Yapahuwa; It is located in a most beautiful place, with professional Ayurvedic treatments in sumptuous, comfortable surroundings and with luxurious accommodation where you will enjoy your long awaited authentic Ayurvedic and tranquil relaxation experience. Dinner and overnight stay in Ayurveda Resort Yapahuwa.

Day 2
Ayurvedic Wellness Treatment

The focus of the Ayurveda Resort will be to provide total relaxation for its clients, starting with the surroundings itself and attention to total body & mind. The fundamental principle of our treatments is based on total Relaxation, Detoxification and Rejuvenation of your body and mind. You will be given the chance to experience the holistic healing effect of Ayurveda at this Resort by qualified Ayurvedic doctors and therapists. Sri Lanka has a rich history of using traditional authentic Ayurvedic treatments. Additionally, food that you will consume on your stay will be free from artificial flavours, fragrances, sauces or animal fats. Furthermore, during this period you will be served vegetarian meals and herbal snacks. You can enjoy dinner and stay overnight at Ayurveda Resort Yapahuwa.

Day 3
Yoga & Meditation – Reswehera Temple – Yapahuwa Kingdom

After the morning session of Ayurvedic treatments and breakfast you can attend yoga and meditation classes; offering to support the Ayurveda philosophy of balancing both mind and body

Afterwards, we will travel to visit the Reswehera (Sesseruwa) temple and see the famous ancient Budhha statue. This is the only Buddha statue in a rock temple where a pilgrim may walk right round it in veneration. Full of spiritual breath, you may then climb the Yapahuwa rock fortress. This rock fortress rising 100m from the plain is similar in concept to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Also known as "fire rock", it was built in the early 13th century as a fortress against the Indian armies. The palace and fortress were built by King Buvanekabahu of the Yapahuwa kingdom. Day 4
Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage – Temple of the Tooth Relic – Cultural Dance Performance

Following breakfast and an Ayurvedic wellness treatment, we will travel to visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. This foster home of elephants of different ages and sizes feed, bathe, play together and even mate. These great animals have been found injured or left abandoned in the wilderness. Then, visit a spice garden where different types of herbs and spices are grown which are then used in Sri Lankan cuisine and medication. Here, you may witness a cookery demonstration.

After this we will drive to the ancient royal city of Kandy, beautifully nestled between green hills. In Kandy, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which is the holiest shrine in Sri Lanka where the tooth relic of Lord Buddha is highly venerated. In the evening, you'll have the opportunity to see a dance performance, where you will see the famous Kandyan dances, as well as up-country and devil dances. Day 5
Wilpattu National Park

Enjoy an Ayurvedic wellness treatment & then travel to Wilpattu with a fresh & energetic mind. This is one of the oldest and largest National Parks of those in Sri Lanka and claims to cover a forest area. Here, you can see animals and different varieties of birds. All species including the leopard, the bear and wild pig as well as the sambour, deer, porcupine etc can be seen at these water holes. Dinner and overnight stay in Ayurveda Resort Yapahuwa

Day 6
Dambulla Cave Temple – Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Following the regular Ayurvedic treatment schedule, we will proceed to the Cave Temple of Dambulla which contains more than 150 Statues of the Buddha. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world.

On completion of your visit , you will then have an opportunity to climb the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

It has been pronounced the Eighth wonder of the world. This ‘citadel in the sky’ is a World Heritage site & a great attraction. Its gardens and terraces are laid out with water gardens & fountains, and boulder gardens. There are cave dwellings, magnificent fresco paintings of the world famous Ladies of Sigiriya, the Mirror wall, The "Gigantic Lions" paws, the ruins of the palace and the royal bath. In the afternoon, an elephant back safari or horse riding can be arranged on request. Dinner and overnight stay in Ayurveda Resort Yapahuwa.

Day 7, 8, 9
Ayurveda Retreats – Wellness Spa

Your daily treatments will last for a period of 3 days including Shiridhara, Synchronized body massages, oral medicine and many more treatments will be conducted to create a perfect balance between body, mind & soul. This Ayurvedic package is specially designed for you to have an insight into Ayurveda and to have an idea of how Ayurveda can be beneficial to healthy life in the long term. Relaxing Ayurveda therapies from a selection of Head Therapy, Face Therapy, Foot Therapy, Synchronized body Therapy, Intense body Therapy are administered along with a Herbal Bath or a Herbal Steam Bath during a 2 hour session in a day.

Your evenings will be filled with entertainment including cultural shows, oriental music or flute music. You will be refreshed & rejuvenated with our spa holiday offerings and it will redefine your idea of a truly relaxing vacation.

Day 10, 11, 12
Dolphin & Whale Watching – Leisure at the Kalpitiya Beach

Prior to you checking out from the Maho Ayurvedic Resort Centre, the Ayurvedic doctor will give you instruction on the ways and means of leading a healthy life.

Then you will travel to Kalpitiya, which is the best place in Sri Lanka to watch dolphins. It is a reef complex which stretches parallel to the coast from the Northern end of the Kalpitiya peninsula islands. It is home to 156 species of coral and 283 species of fish. A Whale-Watching boat ride into the ocean is a must if one is in Kalpitiya. The spinner dolphins are fun to watch, as they playfully dive in and out of the water, delighting those who are lucky to spot them. During certain times of the year, the majestic blue whale and the sperm whale are also seen gliding through the waters of this area.

As all good things must come to an end, your guide will lead you comfortably back to the international airport for the departure in good time.
